We are revive
We had a wild idea: Let’s make a good-for-you drink that actually tastes good. Look, we liked soda too, but soda didn’t like us. So we set out to make something that made us feel amazing—but it had to be delicious too. When we found our groove, we had to share our creation. We left our home garage brewery and peddled our goods at farmers markets. Well, we pedaled there too on a bike (20 miles each way...in the snow, jk about the snow). We wanted to be our best selves every day, but we wanted others to experience that magic too. In the early days we even bartered (we were liquid, yet not exactly liquid). As a crew, we still pour everything into our super tasty, good-for-ya fizz . We envision more taste buds thrilled, more moods made, more guts gladdened. We live for that “Oh whoa,” moment. The one where you kinda expected yet another healthy beverage, but then you say, “Oh whoa, this thing tastes great.” Great’s pretty good, but we think we can top it. We’re constantly improving because we’re ambitious and committed to making people like you a little healthier and happier. We’re realizing our dreams, and we want to give yours a boost too.
About that first taste of kombucha....

Gutsy is our founders first nature...
For our founders Sean and Rebekah Lovett, being gutsy isn’t just second nature, it’s first. At the inception of Revive, Sean was trying to kick a serious soda habit. For Rebekah, that was the opportunity to introduce Sean to the kombucha. But, despite the heavy, highly unpleasant taste, Sean did learn to love kombucha for its health benefits. He really started feeling better from the inside out. That was a lightbulb, or the lightning strike moment for Sean, as he dreamed of a beverage that could be:
a.) Super Tasty
b.) Super healthy
c.) Would help others kick their soda habit.
Oh, and of course it had to be super FUN!
Started from the garage, now we here... (corny, but you get it)
Sean and Rebekah followed their guts and headed to their mad scientists laboratory. (In this case, it was their garage with some home-brew equipment) With Rebekahs extensive experience in health food and holistic nutrition, Sean began to formulate their vision of a beverage that tastes just as good as it makes you feel, and could be the good-for-you choice for others. Revive Original Cola was born, and these two purpose driven and fun-lovin’ founders were off to the races… and by races we mean the local farmers markets of Sonoma County, California.
Trading kombucha for good times…
The local farmers markets of Sonoma county is where the brand was able to come to life in our community. We can still smell the popcorn, oversized turkey legs and the smoker from the tri-tip guy right next to us. The farmers markets are where we earned our stripes, and began to peel back the curtain on just how good something can taste, even if you can't pronounce it (“Kom-Boo-Cha”). We may have also earned a little infamy from keeping our music too loud, but our dials are always stuck at 11, and we truly believe good music makes everything taste better... ;)
Garage > Farmers Markets > on shelf at a store near you…
Maybe it was all the time spent around farmers and their homegrown, organic wares, but we have always had the mission to grow, making us more accessible to the communities we serve. And as luck (and hard work) would have it, We began to show up on shelves around our neighborhood… starting in a market aptly named Community Market, and then the local Oliver's markets in Sonoma county. . From there, it has almost felt like being strapped to a rocket ship as it was taking off…
The legend of “Mr. Tickles”... (and our bottle exchange program)
One consistent effort we constantly strive for is to make the most out of the stuff we use, and to make the environmental impact of our “Fizzness” as minimal as possible. Some of our bigger efforts were in the early days of our Bottle Exchange program; keeping our bottles and glass out of the landfills, or outta that huge floating trash island in the ocean that’s twice the size of Texas. We fought hard for this program; custom crates, custom bottles, we even built a custom machine to scrub the labels off of returned bottles, sarcastically named “Mr. Tickles”. (tickle is a strong word for what that machine did)
These days we still strive to shrink our carbon footprint as much as possible, using hybrid/electric cars in our sales fleet, and reclaiming water for various uses throughout production. It's a constant work-in-progress, and one we continue to enjoy pursuing.
You are always on our mind…
You’re the reason we exist today. From the start with our Original Cola, we have always been innovating; trying to create the best tasting, highest quality, Super Tasty beverages we can offer you all with your health and taste buds in mind. We want to prove that Super Tasty, fun and good for ya can be symbiotic.
Our Hibiscus refresher was the first of its kind to be a caffeine free option in our space. Swinging in the other direction, we created the first yerba mate tea based kombucha with our Yerba Mate ginger. We’ve got our Mocha Java Coffee, another first being coffee based kombucha. We had so much fun over the years innovating, experimenting and playing with fresh, organic drinks that would have your tastebuds doing backflips. Then we looked at cans, shelf stability, and just like a crystal ball, we saw our future.

Our fresh, organic ingredients have always been the star of the show. It's a simple philosophy; the quality that goes in is the quality that comes out. Going beyond the quality of the ingredients themselves, it's about the quality of the people, the farms, and the practices of which those ingredients come from. Sean and Rebekah have traveled across the globe to establish real working relationships with the folks that grow and produce our organic ingredients.
Revive, well it's a “people product”. A product meant for you and the communities we serve. And maybe you can relate to this, but we like to party. Since the beginning you’d find this wacky crew all over California and beyond, rumbling around in old school tour buses or our unofficial event mascot, a 1978 Mercedes van named Gunther. We’ve been to the headiest of music festivals, the wildest of craft beer festivals, festivals about fermented things, and all sorts of other incredibly fun times. We poured so much into showing our best selves at these incredible events, and It’s in our nature to meet you where you are, with the best Super Tasty drinks we can bring. We love meeting new folks, hearing and creating new stories, and taking new adventures. Hopefully we will see you all down the thirsty trail soon!
Movin on up, to the East side (of Petaluma, CA)
When is the last time your passion outgrew the space it occupied? Or your hobby outgrew its “original venue”, or remember how fast your kids grew out of those shoes you JUST BOUGHT THEM? Or have you ever tried to put on a pair of Chuck Taylor’s that were too small (Not happening!)
We’ve grown out of some things too. First, and quite quickly we outgrew that garage that Sean and Rebekah started in. That saw Revive move into our first official facility in 2010 in Windsor, CA. This space was foundational in fostering the growth of our culture, our cultures (wink) and honestly, our families and children. It's fun to reminisce back on the amount of time the Lovett kids spent hanging out in the first Revive “offices”: (atop storage containers inside the warehouse.)
Right before the crew and brews bursted at the seams in Windsor, we landed our new (and current) production facility in Petaluma, CA in late 2015. Imagine the moment someone goes from “Amatuer racecar driver” to “Professional racecar driver”... It's that feeling of “whoa, this new car is faaaaaaast!”. Followed by “okay sweet… but can it be faster?” ;)
This one goes to 11…
Alright, we’ve got a secret, and we probably shouldn't be saying this, but there’s one key ingredient that goes into every single drop of our Super Tasty fizz that we don't include on the nutrition panel… Music. Sean, Rebekah, and our brewmasters today all use music to help nurture our products as they are created and come to life.
It's true that music is a staple of our entire campus, and it spans across all genres without bounds. Sean might be jamming to some classic 70s rock and funk, Rebekah to some Biggie from the 90’s, the production facility will be blasting the heaviest of metal or the headiest of Reggae, finance will be listening to something super deep like Johann Sebastian Bach, and the bassy thuds of hip hop can often be heard bellowing from the marketing crew… I guess you could say that this supercut of genres we all like to experience helps inspire us to mix (and remix) things up in the Super Tasty drinks we offer y’all.

Work harder, play hard…
Just like music, FUN is another key ingredient at Revive.(and another ingredient that skips the role call on the nutrition panel). In many ways the fun around here is rebellious in spirit. The creative weirdos, the funky fermenters, the brew house monsters, the suave sales folks and fearless leaders of this crew have all made their mark on this brand's identity and culture. They have helped us grow and evolve and we know we wouldn't be where we are without them. Two people can make incredible changes happen, but when the whole crew is working hard and playing harder together, all aligned in the same mission; That's where the magic happens.

How we look...
From day one, Sean and Rebekah set out on a mission to break the mold of the typical new-age-namaste-inner-health vibes that most products in our category had been peddling since the early days. Grounded in our purpose, we took a closer look at our brand, our potential, and decided we wanted to send a message. A message that could be heard outside of the yoga studios and incense stores. You know how you come across a really great song for the first time and can’t help but want to share it with your friends? That's how we feel about this Super Tasty fizz.
We looked back to the old school, nostalgic days of soda pops and fountain shops. Our favorite old album covers, lava lamps, and we even found inspiration from the 70s aesthetics of interior design. Anyway, we compiled our collective inspiration, went to the design laboratory, and made some changes, a few times over the years, but we really like where we landed...
A little sparkle in our eyes, to a sparkle in our cans.
There is always room to explore innovation. Forbes says “Innovation is crucial to the continuing success of any organization”. And that's 100% accurate, but it still doesn't have to be so serious… Innovation is the fun part! It's the experiments. It's when we get to act like we are mad scientists back in the lab dreaming up and testing new concoctions of the future. While the equipment might be bigger, and the methods more precise and efficient, it's still the same feeling for Sean. For him just like being back in the garage, tinkering, exploring, challenging, creating.
That's where our Sparkling cans came to life. Hours and hours of innovating, designing and building a bespoke canning line, all to create a beverage that was real, organic, Super Tasty flavor first, but taking it a step further. And in all that time tinkering, created a naturally fermented, fizzy, bubbly, sparkling-super-quencher that is low in sugar (5 grams), low in calories (20 calories), and packed full of 5 billion live, organic probiotics. Oh, and if you’re keeping score, it also doesn't require refrigeration ;)
The same d*mn mission from the beginning...
So let's recap; We sorta started with the simple mission, it could have been, “Let's make something that's healthy, and doesn't make you want to spit it out.”.... But Sean and Rebekah are more Gutsy'r than that. They ask the questions, “What if it was Super Tasty, too?? What if it’s good for ya, and so Super Tasty that we could guarantee it?”
Alright, add a big heap of fun, put that delicious fizz in a bottle and surround all of that with the biggest speakers you can find… then crank it to 11.
Our Purpose has been the same since day one; To prove that wildly delicious, fun and good for ya can be symbiotic.
